Welcome to College Green Medical Practice.
On 26th April 2021, College Green Medical Practice, (formerly BG Health and Granton Medical centre) which is a part of Our Health Partnership (OHP), will open to welcome patients both from the previous practices, as well as new patients from the local community.
College Green Medical Practice is located at 1 Bristol Road South, Bournville, Birmingham B31 2GH. It is part of the flagship development; College Green Care Village, which comprises of 212 retirement apartments, a care home for dementia patients and 16 independent living cottages.
It’s a modern, inclusive family focussed and dementia-friendly health centre with all state of art facilities able to serve all patients in the community.
In addition to the general medical services, we will be able to provide additional services such as:
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Full range of contraception services including coil and implant fitting and removals
- Minor surgery excisions of small lumps bumps
- Cryotherapy
- Joint injections
- Drug and alcohol support service in partnership with Reach out recovery, and
- Enhanced services to the care homes in the area.
We are a teaching and training practice, and we take immense pride in teaching students from University of Birmingham and sometimes from other London universities, as well as training medical doctors in their foundation year and as GP Trainees.
At the new site we now have a team of clinical pharmacists, a social prescriber, drug and alcohol services support worker and care coordinators. A paramedic will also be permanently joining our team too. We bring our bereavement counsellor.
The building design has also undergone recent changes to improve the resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic in future.
On behalf of all the partners, will like to assure you that we carry the same patient-centred ethos. We will strive our best to provide continuity of care to patients, as well as improving access by facilitating online consultations to all our patients during the working week.
